help?!

so, my period has been very irregular for the past two years or so after I lost a pregnancy. usually, it'll come every other month or so, sometimes every other two months. my period is three months late, I've gotten light cramping but never anything comes. the guy I've been talking to and I hooked up almost a month ago unprotected. he just told me two days ago he doesn't want kids, but now I think I seriously need a test. I'm freaking out, anyone and everyone can tell me I'm just being paranoid, but I'm terrified right now. help??
