Is it weird to name your baby so similar to...

I had a friend who became pregnant in Highschool at 14. It's been 10 years, we don't talk, and apparently she didn't like me back then, but she wanted me around.

My husband and I like the a name for our with the same meaning as our last name, but the problem is, it's pronounced like my old friend's child name. It would be spelled different, have a different meaning than her kid's name, but pronounced the same way. We haven't really talked in 3 years, but still know the same people. Is that super weird?
