I can't drink, so what do I say?!

I have been invited to a couple of parties and I want to go. BUT they're going to be drinking and I'm not since we're ttc. what do I say or should I say anything at all?!

Why don’t you go & just have mocktails? I had the bartender last night make me a tequila sunrise without alcohol or you could get cranberry & soda water or something like that. I taught the bartender what a mocktail was last night 😂 he started coming up with all kinds of mixes for me just nonalcoholic!

I've been in this situation and people have asked me, but I just tell them I'm on medication- which isn't a lie, but it saves me from having to tell people I'm ttc.

I am having this problem too while TTC because I’m usually the first one to start drinking 😂😂 ughhh I don’t know what to say to people. Right now I’ve said I’m taking a break and trying to workout more to see if I can lose some weight.

Order drinks but ask the bartender to make them virgin

If its a small bar you can call ahead and explain that you are trying to keep a secret and your friends will catch on if you don’t drink or if they hear you order something without the alcohol. You can make up a codename for a virgin drink and order that. Just make sure that they know you are the one that called or make the code name drink something that wont be confused for anything else. Ive known people who order nonalcoholic beer and people who get cranberry juice or apple juice in a wine glass to throw people off.

Drinking alcohol doesn’t affect ttc.. as far as I know. A glass or two wouldn’t hurt one bit.
