What to do?!?!

I have a 2 week old and she has the hardest time pooping! To the point that she was up from 4:00 pm to midnight in almost constant pain where we brought her to the emergency room. I don't know what to do!! Even holding her wouldn't soothe her 😔 has anyone gone threw something like this and have any advice??

I was told by my doctor to stimulate her w a anal thermometer and a tiny bit of Vaseline. As the last resort I was told to use a third of a pediatric suppository but call your pediatrician if it gets that far.

I have not gone through this but maybe give her baby prunes and more fiber. Good luck

Talk to her pediatrician. There are a bunch of things this can be, from an input/hydration issue to something like Hirshprung's.

When my son was a few weeks old he had the same problem and my dr told to give him a tablespoon of dark Karo syrup in his bottles until he starts going regularly. It worked like a charm. Also I have done brown sugar water. That worked great too.

Thanks for all the advice! She has an appointment today so hopefully I'll get some answers. It's not that she doesn't poop but it takes her hours and I can tell she is in so much pain trying to go. Ughhh I just wish I could take the pain away
