I'm skeptical because my husband used to be friends with a girl (who he also happened to hook up with when they were much younger) who has a daughter named Kendra and I don't wanna be a "copy cat" or have it be super weird. They barely talk anymore and never see each other but have mutual friends. I just really love the name.

I was the same way. My fiance wanted to name or daughter Emily bc that's what his name was going to be if he was a girl but my cousin had a baby and she named her Emily and she was maybe barely 1 at the time. I thought it would be weird bc they so close in age and I didn't want her to think I was copying her. I decided that if we wanted to keep the name then I would talk to my cousin about it and get her opinion on it. We ended up with the name Olivia instead but that what I would've done if it came down to it.
