Period after c section

Has anyone's periods been different after having a c section? It's been nearly 7 months since i had my baby boy by emergency c section and I've found my periods... different. Sorry tmi here, They're not as painful as they used to be but I'll have spotting for the first few days, then heavy bleeding with a lot of small clots. Hoping this is all normal, we're ttc again so hoping it won't take long 🙏🏻
