i was put on BC pills even tho i have the implant

so in august i got the arm implant... ivehad unprotected sex twice (he didn't cum in me) in october. my period was 8 days late, and even after my period came (it was kindve light but still there and lasted a week) im still bleeding..... the irregular bleeding was freaking me out so i called my doctor and she put me on birth control pills even though i'm already on the implant. is this safe? do you think i'm pregnant? i have had any symptoms really nothing major. i feel like if my doctor thought i was she would have tested me. i've also taken 4 tests all negative 2 before my late period and 2 after my late period. is it safe to be put on the pill while on the arm implant? do you think i'm pregnant?
