Where to start

Question

I'm still fairly early so I won't be buying for a bit yet but it literally stresses me out. I have been browsing but I really wanted to start picking products and such so I wouldn't be scrambling when time came. I just have no idea where to start mostly with a registry. But picking the right products is crazy 😬😬 I keep putting it off because I am fairly early but I know eventually I will actually have to buy stuff lol

I created my registry super early but kept it private so only I could view it. Add everything under the moon to it, then start checking reviews and tweak it until it’s just right.

Try babylist, they have a lot of sample lists. Once you dive in you'll see the same products recommended over and over. 
Get stuff you can return and don't open everything right away. You may never need it.

So I suggest getting a consumers reports subscription. It's really reasonable and you can look at their reviews and tests. If they don't review the item any more they still give advice on what to look for in the product.

Nobody bought off of my registry & then I was annoyed I had spent so much time on it. I've heard a lot of other moms say the same. 
Keep in mind you don't need majority of the baby products out there. So much of it isn't necessary in my opinion (I've got 2 kids). 
Stick to the basics.

Open up someone else's registry and copy it or use it as a guide to look for products. I was able to copy my sister-in-laws entire registry at buy buy baby! I loved creating my registry online because I was able to read all the reviews. Started my registry in my first trimester so when it was time for my shower I had all the kinks worked out. Almost everything was bought off my registry!! Best of luck and happy shopping!!!

I started by making lists of things I knew I would need to research. For example, car seats, strollers, bottles, crib mattresses, etc. 
I went through that list one at a time doing the research on each thing and deciding what products I wanted to use for my baby, and that was where my list started. Then once I got the big things like that researched and chosen what I wanted I started a list of things that I knew I would need. This was stuff like portable changing pad, diaper bag, baby shampoos/lotions, diapers, etc. 
From there you can add stuff and just keep a good list, or start a registry somewhere and keep it private until you're ready! Good luck!
