Syringe method?

Has anyone tried the syringe method? I’m curious to know because I tried it today with my boyfriend since we’ve been trying to get pregnant for about a year. A couple minutes after we did it, I was having some cramping in my left side of my ovary. We tried to do this method today since its my first day of my fertile window so I’m hoping that the cramping is a good sign even though it is way to soon to tell. I really hope this method works🤞🏼
