Yesterday morning I had my bloody show, with contractions every 2 hours apart, not really strong enough & I can handle the pain. I went to the L&D; ER as advised by my doctor, they told me I was having real contractions but I'm only 1 cm dilated. They also asked me whether I wanted to get induced or if I wanted to go & then come back later.

I told them no, I wanted to go home & then come back when my contractions are few minutes apart.

Since yesterday my contractions have been the same & they're not getting stronger.

From your personal experience or what you've heard, how long after bloody show did you give birth? When did you get strong contractions?

Is it normal that I'm still not dilated enough even though I've had bloody show?
