Late period due to sickness?

Has anyone experienced this...
I was scheduled to ovulate Oct 23/24, on the 21 I came down with a really bad virus (fever/cough) that's lasted over 2 weeks. I tested yesterday and today and got BFN and there's no sign of AF. Could my period be delayed due to being sick for long?

Yes! It can! Illness and medication can postpone periods as your body has been using nutrients, and energy to fight off your illness! Once when I had pneumonia I skipped for two months after just due to the stress the sickness caused. Good luck! Don't stress :)
