Anyone’s early labor last over 14 hours?

My wife is at 14 and counting ... contractions about 6 mins apart , 50 seconds length .  But has been this way all morning

So we decided to go to the hospital with contractions 6-8 mins apart .  They said she wasn’t dilated, but very thin 90%.  Made us stay one hour on exercise ball then checked again .  Nurse said she was thin enough that she “made her” 5cm whatever that means !  But it allowed us to get a delivery room.  12 hours after that we delivered a baby!!  Initial contractions never got to 5 min apart for an hour.  Dilated to about 8 cm before they got under 5 mins .  So much for 5-1-1!

With my first my early labor lasted about 36 hours and it was about 12 hours from the start of active labor to holding my little guy. I know it's easier said than done, but try to help her rest as much as she can now. She will want as much reserved energy as possible when active labor, transition, and pushing occur. I found positive affirmations to be helpful as a long early labor can be very emotionally frustrating.

I’m in about the same boat. Going on 12 hours of 1 min contractions every 6-7 minutes. They are mostly pretty mild, though some are more intense than others.
