Ovulation test

So I got the Clearblue digital testing kit yesterday. Because it was the 8th day of my cycle, it told me I should go ahead and test yesterday. I did again this morning. Nothing was detected. But then the test wouldn’t sync to the app. So I retested, and got a notification of “high fertility”. It just doesn’t seem right that I got a different reading about 8 hours before, and it wasn’t first thing in the morning like suggested. I’m new to all this tracking. Has anyone else seen something similar?
