Help with name !!

Ok so I had the perfect girl name picked out before I even got pregnant lol it's Mackenna Lynn Francis the middle names are after my parents who passed away ... Anywho we have a new niece named McKinley so my husband and I decided to find a backup name just because the names sound very similar so he found the name Kai and he is now set on it !!  And I'm not so sure I think it's cute but it's too short :/ I would like to maybe make a variation like Kaiilynn or Kaiila something like that???? What does everyone else think ?!
