TMI, period after having baby ???

Question

how long did it take u to get ur period after having baby. I'm currently breastfeeding and baby is 1 month and 3 days, i just got my period today I think. I had a second degree tear when I had her. I started having pain again 3 days ago and I'm not sure if it's a period or not, but I'm guessing it might be cause it's red blood. I'm hoping I did not tear again

also your vagina would not spontaneously tear again...you would know if your perineum and vagina tore again, did you experience a trauma to your genitals? did you go against medical advice and have sex before your 6 wks check up?

I got mine back at 8 1/2 months. It could be your period, but it's super early. it seems more likely that you're still bleeding from your birth recovery. It placenta is about the size of a pizza, and that's a big area to heal in your uterus. I bled for about 6 weeks from that, spotting off and on at the end.
