Are you treated differently than men at work?

Treanna

Explain your situation. Where do you work(industry), is it mostly men or women, etc.

Is it negative or positively affecting you?

I'm not talking about wages, I'm talking about respect, convos, responsibilities and double standards.

I myself am in IT. I manage servers. I feel at times I am treated differently although it typically isn't negative or intentional. However I am not seen as authoritative or credible sometimes and today it is really grinding my gears. I get kickback when giving suggestions, even when they align with company standards. For the most part I am respected and well liked but today a few incidents have reminded me that some people will always see me as a woman not a coworker!
