Do you let your ppl see your bedroom

Me and my him 23 me 19 just moved in together and of course our parents wanna look at our new place, but is it ok to tell them no stay out of our bedroom! We have a stripper pole in there, do i need to take it down just for their visit???

I typically don't allow anyone in my bedroom. But your parents I think are an exception. I'd take it down just for there visit.

I would take it down just to show the house. When we first moved into our house here everybody wanted to see everything. But, now that we've lived here for a while, whenever anyone comes over we just close the door and that's that.

No!! That's your privacy and what happen in the bedroom stay in the bed room...its a place of comfort for you and him....my mama all ways told me never let a man stay in your door way and never let a women sit on your bed

I don't let people into the bedroom but I still make sure to hide toys etc.

It's not like I prevent people from going in there. My fiance has parts of his airplane model collection in there so sometimes he does bring people in there.

His mom also organized our closet... I was in Sweden between visas. I had just moved from my host family into his apartment so I had stuff there. His mom wanted to make sure I felt welcome and to feel the apartment was my space too. Helped buy drawers and stuff for the walk-in closet and then organized my clothes. Kind of nice but awkward.

My point is, it's the first time they're there. Take the pole down and expect to show them around in all your rooms. Their curious.

If your giving them a tour it would be weird not to show your room. I'd say take the pole down this time, and any other time they come to visit just keep the door shut. People don't go into bedrooms if the door is shut.

I would my family, but friends I just point out "That's my room, that's Miss 1s room.."

Its really up to you. My bedroom is my personal space.. Its usually always messy with clean clothes waiting to be folded or chocolate wrappers or something because.. Well no one see's it?
