I came to the hospital around 4pm Monday to begin induction. We started Cervidil at 7pm. That stayed in for 12 hours, but it only dilated me to 1cm, so we inserted the Foley bulb, which took me to 4.5cm, 70% effaced, and I lost my mucus plug! Doc wanted to see if I would go into labor on my own, but I did not. We finally started Pitocin Wednesday around 7am and I got my epidural around 9am during which my water broke all over the bed! We soon discovered that the contractions were causing baby’s cord to be compressed and his heart rate was dropping so we did a C-Section. My beautiful baby boy was born at 12:14pm, November 8th, 2017.
