Post partum belts/girdles - to buy or not to buy?

I have a c-section booked for 24 November and I'm trying to decide whether I should buy a support belt for afterwards (or any other kind of support wear).
Does anyone have views/experience/recommendations?

Yes ! It’s a must I have personally had two c sections with the first 10 years ago I didn’t use any support apparatus afterwards because I knew no better . My second c section was two months ago and the hospital gave me one and dang did it make all the difference! They help to support your incision and your stretched out belly. I felt it made it way easier to get up and move around because your stomach feels secure. The nurse gave me an extra one in a smaller size to go home with. I wore the larger girdle for a week till a lot of my swelling went down then I switched to the smaller girdle which I wore all day till I was going to sleep at night for the first month. I think they are way worth it even if you have to spend money for it if your hospital doesn’t provide.
