how can i make or how can my doctor make inserting the iud easier?

I've heard from some people on here that their doctors offered them a pool or something for those who haven't had children yet but want to get an iud. is that really an option because I've had difficulties getting the iud placed but it's really my preferred method of birth control right now.

i took the prescription that is supposed to soften your cervix. ive also had a son. i still haf to have day surgery for both my mirena inseration and most recently in August for my copper inseration

Schedule for the last few days of your period when your cervix is a little softer.  Ask the doctor what they suggest, maybe they’ll give you something or suggest taking a pain killer. They may also numb you. Ask what their process is
