Do you have the same political beliefs, for the most part, as your family?

Question

I'm specifically talking about political leanings e.g. are you all conservative, liberal, etc.  
If you believe differently, do you feel judged or ostracized from your family?

I’m definitely a black sheep along with just my brother. We are the only two that aren’t conservative.

For the most part yes. I am. My family is coming around slowly though, and are slightly less oppressive in their beliefs, as far as abortion, marriage and a few other things go

My dad and mom's side of the family are crazy liberals, and will disown or physically assault you if you don't agree with them. I'm conservative for the most part and I haven't spoken to them in years because they're so hostile.

Most of my family, including my mom, are super conservative. There are a few of us—my sister and her husband, a few of my aunts and uncles, and some cousins are more liberal. I definitely don’t agree with my more conservative family members...like, at all. My mom is still bitter that I’m not conservative.😂

My immediate family and I️ pretty much agree. My extended family, not so much. It’s one of the reasons I️ rarely use Facebook. I️’ve woken up to a post tagging me, basically chewing me out for “liking” my friend’s photo who went to the Woman’s March. It’s exhausting.

For the most part, yes. We have a few outliers. My brother in law, a cousin, and my and moms new husband. Oddly enough my Dad used to be a die hard conservative, but he’s become more and more liberal over the years. I️ don’t know how people can be married to someone with different political beliefs. That one seems so tough to me, but I️ know many split party married couples who are making it work just fine. 🤷‍♀️

Me and my husband are the only liberals in my immediate family. Lots of glances and eye rolls between us at family gatherings lol

I don’t feel ostracized, but I do tend to not prefer hanging out with family because of our differences. I try to be open minded and listen to them, especially for those family members that we are closer to like my parents, but it is hard for extended family like aunts and uncles. I find that they are more close minded than my parents or my mother and father-in-law.
