How many FTM had contractions & didn’t even know it?

Question

39 weeks today and have just been feeling really weird. My body has been “emptying” itself out and Baby has been moving up a storm. I get some pains and back pains (period like) is it possible that I could be having contractions and not even realize because it’s not that painful? I know it happens with some women... just curious.

I️ was in the hospital for hours after my water broke without feeling my contractions. I️ didn’t feel any of the ones that were 5+ minutes apart and barely felt the ones after that. But once they were pretty much back to back, holy crap that shit hurt.

I went to bed having mild period like cramps. As I was falling asleep I just knew I would be in labor the next day. Woke up around 5 with mild contractions. Waited for my hubby to wake up at 7 to tell him I was in labor and it was time to load up the car. Call the doc then and took a shower, took my time finishing packing up my bag and went to the hospital around 10. My real labor didn’t start till about 1:30 in the afternoon. That’s when they started hurting.

i went to my 37 week check up and my doc noticed it, so she put me on a monitor and sure enough i was contracting and didn’t even know it, they were strong enough for her to send me to the hospital, she showed up two hours later to pop my water and was very pleased with my super strong contractions that i still was not feeling, two more hours and i got up to pee and didn’t feel contractions until then, couldn’t make it back to my bed and almost pushed my son out standing up!

I emptied out and then just had bad back pain. Turns out I was laboring all in my back and was already 8 cm dilated when I got to the hospital... oops 😬 wouldn’t have even went in if it wasn’t for noticing a bulging water sack slipping out of me 😂 I didn’t get the real painful contractions until the last hour of labor when I was stuck at 9cm.

I didn't know either,  my body was emptying too then I decided to check how often I had to go ... was like every 3 min so I call the hospital and they said to come in right away. Maybe give your dr or hospital a call just to be sure 🤗

I was at 3cm and didnt know it. I was working so I was distracted and didnt even realize what they were. Had a drs appt and he was like yeah next time that happens, just go to the hospital.
