castor oil??

Question

I've heard many things about castor oil inducing labor. Has anyone used this method and has it worked? I'm going on 39 weeks and I have been in early labor since Sunday I'm 2 center meters and 80% effaced. I am so ready to get this active labor going!

Took it with my son at 38 1/2 weeks and look at my baby now. Just graduated pre school

I did it with my first at 40 weeks. It worked. Don't take more than a tablespoon. That's all you need if your body is ready.

I wouldn't do it. Gives you diarrhea bad

What it does is induce horrid diarrhea. And from the insteinal cramping, your uterus may decide to join in and start cramping as well. Although I personally dont think having raging diarrhea would be worth it.

Do not use castor oil!! It can cause too many problems it is not worth it!

Try doing some natural ginger tea that did it for me during my first pregnancy. All ice heard of castor oil is it gives horrible diarrhea
