Cervix check

So I had to see a different doctor today than usual. I am 35 weeks and 2. She checked my cervix! This is my second baby and it seems way too early to be doing that. It was very uncomfortable XD any ways I should have nicely declined the check hah. Has anyone else around 35 weeks had there cervix checked and were you dilated at all? I was happy to be at a one. I'll take it :)
