Engagement Waiting Game 💍

So my boyfriend proposed a little over a year ago but we have been through a lot and he didnt have a ring at the time so he asked if I could hold off until he properly asks my father and gets a ring.

This was over a year ago and we still haven't announced our engagement.

I was literally at a jewelry store about to buy my own the other day when he calls and begs me to wait because he promises this weekend no matter what he will ask my father and insists he wants to pick out my ring so it'll be special. He said "I just want to do something right for you."
