should I still take her to the doc? update **

yesterday I posted the photos of my daughter's eye I'll post them again now. Was believed to be a blocked tear duct, some even said pink eye. this morning her eye looks perfectly normal. but I'm debating since it was so bad yesterday should I still take her to her ped today? where it's cold and flu season I hate to take her if not needed and risk her getting sick.. I hope some who commented yesterday who experienced this can comment again. this was yesterday

It's a clogged tear duct! My daughters eye is doing the same thing. We brought her to the pediatrician and they prescribed some eye drops. Also suggested with a clean finger with the nail clipped, to the massage near her tear duct to break apart the stuff clogging the duct.

That’s not a stye. Take your baby to the ped. It’s not unusual for them to develop pink eye a couple weeks later. My son also had the exact same thing last Monday, he’s been on a gel for his eyes for the past 7 days. It actually cleared after the first day using the gel but we finished the treatment.

Also clogged tear ducts can also collect bacteria and develop a bacterial conjunctivitis

My oldest had the same thing when she was a baby. That is just a sty(sorry if spelling is wrong) but it’s nothing to be concerned with. Just take a warm wash cloth to it every hour or so and it will clear up. This is a pretty typical thing.
