Partially wean?

So my son is 10 months old. My breastfeeding goal is currently 12 months, but I am looking into continuing longer, if possible. My problem is that I hate pumping and I work a full time job where I'm away from my son from 8:30-6:30. If I could be a stay at home mom, I would! Anyway, I currently pump 3 times a day. I'm not sure how much longer I can continue pumping this often. When my son turns a year old, Is it possibly to get to the point of just breastfeeding when I'm at home at night? If so, how do I do this? I have no freezer stash at all, so we take it a day at a time. I wouldn't have any milk during the day to give him. 😕

I had this dilemma. Hated pumping and never felt I could produce enough for a full day and was always stressed, and family members would always defrost too much and waste it. So I just mix fed. Formula while I was at work (Bub was about 8months) and just breast fed whenever I was home, didn’t have any issues with my supply from it until about 6 weeks into my current pregnancy, and would have to sometimes offer a bottle when I was home. But we still made it to nearly 13 months and I decided to wean all together. But it worked for us, once you let go of that expectation, you feel relief! And a little more sane 😂 hope it all goes well Mama! 💕

I am currently working on this. I hate pumping at work! When my son turned one we started introducing whole milk. We are currently at 75%whole milk/ 25%breast milk bottles. And I am down to pumping once a day. He is almost 13 months. I think after thanksgiving I will stop pumping. When you do stop just go slow so you don't mess with your supply. Drop a feeding once every two weeks. I'm still going to nurse morning and night for a while.
