This doesn’t seem right -

Sorry for the long vent!

My mother inlaw texted asking for my 2 month old social insurance number so she can open a bank account for him for a Christmas gift. I said no I already opened one for him for his education she said he can have 2 one she opened and one I opened. I said no I especially don’t want anyone but me and his dad to know his social insurance number. She isn’t happy I won’t give it to her but who would give their child’s information to people even if they are family.

Also to mention she doesn’t have a bank account herself cause it got closed she owes the government a lot of money

I feel like she planned to do more with his social insurance number than just open a bank account for him
