"Mat herpes" to genital herpes?
The only person I was with to have gotten herpes was a wrestler and after being with him and getting diagnosed with herpes he said he had "mat herpes". This was 2 and a half years ago and I haven't had a break out since. But is it possible that I got herpes in my genital area from a man with "mat herpes" and is it also possible for herpes to go dormant and not bother you for years at a time?
