UK mums - anyone gone overdue?

Question

I’m in the UK and keen now to know what’ll happen with my midwife if I go overdue. 
I’m seeing her on Monday and I’ll be 39+5. If nothing has happened (which it doesn’t feel like it is) is it likely she’ll want to examine me? Or will I be sent to hospital for checks? 
When do they usually offer the sweep?

I am 39 weeks today. At my next appt Monday I will be 39 + 3 and I have been offered a sweep for then already. I have said I won't be getting it though, but they have offered early which I thought was strange. She also said they will schedule an induction that day too. I'm not high risk so I'm guessing it's just for their convenience 🙄

I'm currently 39 + 4. It's completely up to you whether follow your midwife's advise or not. It's your body and it is up to you what happens. I'm a low risk pregnancy but fell due to IVF. I was orinially told they wouldn't let me go to 40 weeks but after speaking to a consultant was advised that they only advise this as there is a very small risk and they don't like risk. I've now been advised that they don't want me go past 40 + 12 before medical intervention (induction). I've informed them that I want a natural labour so once we get to this date, if baby is still happy, I'm happy to wait it out. My choice to have to as natural birth as possible. Remember it is you birth and you have a right to have it how you want to (natural, with drugs etc).

they generally offer a sweep or you can ask for one if you are overdue all midwives are slightly different. They very rarely let you go past 14 days overdue so you would be overduced then. I'm not allowed past 10 days overdue.

I seen my midwife today at 38+5. We have a walk in midwife place in town where they offer sweeps from the day of your due date so I will be going at 40+2 when it’s open. Hopefully I go before then though! Then it’s after the sweeps they start talking induction if that’s what you want (usually around 42 weeks)

I saw my midwife at 40+4 and she offered me a sweep. I declined as want to try and let nature take its course, also she said it's not guaranteed to work for FTMs as can't always reach the cervix and is quite invasive. I see midwife again on Monday (I'll be 41+2)  again I will be offered a sweep. If no baby by then I will scheduled for induction at term+12 days, in my area they're you go up to 12 days past due date before induction! Fingers crossed baby arrives before then!

I am 40 weeks on Monday and have a sweep planned for Wednesday - my midwife will also book me for an induction just in case I go over - that will be in the next week.
