Fetal Movement

Jamie • BLESSED! I love my God, my husband, my kids and my country. Life is good!

First of all, this is not a post to freak anyone out, but rather as a solemn warning. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE... If you experience decreased or no fetal movement, GO IN AND GET CHECKED OUT. I just read another story of a woman who was busy and honestly hadn't realized her son had stopped moving. By the time she took a few minutes to get checked, he had passed away 5 days before his due date.

LADIES, please don't "wait a few hours", "eat and drink something and wait a day or two"...

The most embarrassing thing that can happen to you is to be sent home because your baby was fine- the alternative is going home alone because you waited.

PERSONAL STORY: One of my sons was due within the week. I went 24 hours w/o feeling him move much. I went in, got checked, was going to be sent home and then the monitors picked up that he was distressed. My FULL TERM baby boy was wrapped in his cord, I had missed preeclampsia, had to have an emergency c-section and he stayed in the NICU for 9 days. HAD I WAITED, HE WOULD NOT BE HERE.

Please don't tempt it, WHEN IN DOUBT, GET CHECKED OUT!!!
