I would like to buy the best pad in advance for after delivery. I also don't know what to expect or how many to have on hand. Thank you ladies ❤

Always with Flex Foam 👍🏼 It’s thin so it doesn’t feel like a diaper but absorbs sooooo much 
I used whatever I had from the hospital and then moved on to the Always Flex Foam

I highly suggest getting always descreet adult underwear for the first few days instead of the netted underwear the hospital gives you and something like ubykotex overnight pads for the rest of the postpartum bleeding days.. the adult underwear make it wayyy less uncomfortable down there than those pads that feel like a mattress, they also cover in every direction preventing overflow...

My nurses provided me with many more of the thick pads than I used throughout the entire postpardum bleed (mine was 3 weeks). They're usually really awesome and will give you pads, numb spray, witch hazel pads, etc. for your at home care. 
Once the heavy bleed was gone, I used normal period pads from pre-pregnancy (I use Always size 2) since no tampons or anything inserted for at least 6 weeks.

Cloth. No irritation. You’ll likely be wearing them for a few weeks and the plastic stuff can cause rashes, itching, and pain after a while. Love my cloth pads. Used the Always discreet adult diapers for the first week or so though.

I used the long overnight pads because i bled a lot. I think it depends on the person, I bled for about 9weeks and went through a few packages of pads. Some people don’t bleed as long though! The hospital will send you home with some, so you can get a feel for how heavy you are bleeding and go get some after!- but I bought a pack of like 40 at first and went from there (:
