If my glucose test is at 10 when should I eat breakfast?

I plan on eating some scrambled eggs. How long should I wait to go get my blood drawn? We don’t have to make appointments for the one hour test.

Eggs are a PERFECT thing to eat before you go in. They recommend you don’t eat anything that sugary. Which can also mean carbs. So eggs wouldn’t cause you to fail the test!

My doctor said I could eat whatever I wanted before the test. Then I had to drink it 45 minutes before the appointment and write down what time I finished the drink. Went in, checked in, and they drew my blood at exactly an hour after I finished the drink. I had a mini KIND bar and a yogurt about 15 minutes before I drank it so I had something else in my stomach besides all that sugar. Several women said they got sick from fasting and drinking it so I was trying to avoid that—only cause my doctor said I could have whatever. Yours might be different.

My midwife told me to eat before. She wants to see how my body handles normal every day stuff and if I fast that’s not normal. So I’ll continue like normal. I’d call and ask your doctor what they want you to do.
