Coffee?

Hi! I am 4weeks I had my first doctors apt yesterday to get blood work- but I forgot to ask about coffee. Can I have 1 cup a day while pregnant?

Yes you can. I had mentioned to my doctor how I was laying off caffeine and he said I don’t need to worry. Just don’t over do it

You can definitely have 1 cup a day.... doesn’t matter what trimester you’re in.

You can for sure have a cup if you keep it under 200 mg. Or you could go decaf.

They say anything 200mg or below per day is fine. One cup is about 95mg of caffeine. I’m definitely continuing to drink one cup every morning... better than having a withdrawal headache and I’m already exhausted with having the one cup. I can’t imagine what my morning would be like without that up. Some doctors will still say no coffee at all... while others adhere to the 200mg/day.

After the first trimester you’re allowed 200mg a day of caffeine. 
So no, not recommended  at 4 weeks
