I just found out...
My dad has Prothrombin G20210A, a gene mutation that makes one more susceptible to blood clotting. And it’s hereditary.
I’m going to bring it up to my doctor on Monday and I suspect she will send me in for testing.
Question is: if I’ve never had any issues, will they still put me on blood thinners during my pregnancy if I come back positive for the gene mutation?
What does this mean for my future and my future baby?
