I know many people from other countries and never had anybody be offended of the word. So what do you think ?? So we should only sat, people from other countries, all the time ??

I think if it's used in a rude way like making fun of them or stating something bad like immigrants are all lazy ( not true just a example) is wrong but just stating something and using the term is okay.

I voted no but really should have put it depends. Because it does. If it's said in a nasty sentence with a tone of voice on the word that makes it seem like a bad word, then yes, it is offensive. If, however it's just a word used to describe someone, I don't see how it would be offensive. I wanna use an example here, but I really don't want to offend anyone. So I'm going to use lizard as a word instead. So say someone says "Ugh. Those nasty lizards. Disgusting." and they mean it in a derogatory way, yes, it could be offensive. If you say "My best friend is a lizard." or "I'm a lizard." or "My mother is a lizard." No, it's not offensive.
