Telling Parents Before 2nd Trimester

Thoughts on this?

We live in a different state than our parents and are traveling to see them for thanksgiving. We found out we are 4 weeks and will be 5 next week.

We’re going to tell our parents because A) We will be able to tell them in person on Thanksgiving and B) If anything should happen to the pregnancy we would want their emotional support instead of experiencing the loss on our own.

What are you thoughts on telling your parents during the first trimester?
