Is it okay to decorate a funeral home with Christmas decorations?

This happened locally and people feel pretty strongly about it on both sides. What do you think?

I don’t see why not. I’d personally keep it low key and tasteful though. 
Decorating for Halloween is probably a bad idea.

Maybe a tree with lights and no decorations... you gotta be sensitive for people who won’t be in the mood. It would be awful for a child or someone who didn’t fulfill their life to pass and you walk in and see all things celebratory

I would imagine the connection to Christmas could be a calming reminder for any Christians who may have lost someone (you know, Jesus and heaven). 
As long as it's not some dancing reindeer or something, I don't see why it would be offensive or disrespectful.

The funeral homes in my area decorate every year. No one has raised a fuss. They have beautiful lights on the outside trees then little ball ornaments and lights on the inside.

Anyway I mean as long as it’s tasteful I don’t think it’s an issue. A tree with golden lights and some ribbon won’t kill anyone (pun intended). My grandmother died last year at Christmas time and I didn’t really care what the funeral home looked like other than it was nice.

I think it’s fine. It’s supposed to be a long lace to help bring the family peace. Christmas is a great time for most, I don’t see how one can have an issue here. Christmas lights make me happy,
