First ultrasound

Does anyone know when the first ultrasound is typically?? I️ am now 6 weeks pregnant and my first doc appt. - ultra sound isn’t until 12/12 and I will be 9 weeks then. I️ tried to make an appt. before then but they said there is no need to come in sooner since I️ have no health issues or any previous miscarriages or problems and they also said they won’t be able to see anything right now, which is why it’s usually done at 9 weeks. 3 more weeks just seems so long to wait!
