Just curious... how is your relationship with your Mother in Law/S.O’s parents?

I’m closer to my husbands parents, than my own. My MIL is my best friend! I know that’s not the case for everyone, so I’m curious to see how other people get along with theirs.

Not married, but I love his mom. She basically got me my last job when I got laid off and even though she was hesitant about me spending the night at first, I grew on her pretty fast and she has made feel feel completely at home and welcome to talk to her about anything. There house is like my second home, so I can’t not have a good relationship with her lol.

My husband's father passed before we met and he has ZERO contact with his mom (abusive when he was a kid). So I have never met her.

my SOs mom and I have different opinions on so many different things and she always has to have the last word about it. tonight it was my opinion on breastfeeding in public. she says you should cover to make others feel comfortable. I say I don't give a fuck how others feel, my baby will eat when and where he wants. every time I was like we'll just have to see when he's here she would have to add something else to it. same thing when we discuss celebrating Halloween or Santa or how I clean. I think she's a great woman but she just needs to leave me alone. 😓

I get along with mine great! I wouldn’t say we are extremely close. My husband and I can really only handle parents from either side about once a month. That’s enough of the parent thing to me. Our own parents drive us crazy just as much as each others parents. LOL!!

Well since day one I have been treated like family. I'm always over there and they always make me feel welcomed. I can walk in go straight for the fridge or cabinet. I know where everything is. They always make me eat. Which is fine. His mom let me work with her (cleaning houses). I have made her proud. Her son tried breaking up with me a couple of times.. She told him don't give up that girl needs you. I can literally talk to her about anything. She is always there for. She is a mother I never had.❤️❤️ His stepdad we get along. Just don't really say much to him. Because of my past I'm not close with any male. I am shocked how close I have become to my boyfriend.💗
