Crying it out

My husband is for the cry it out method and I’m not. Especially since our son is only 2 months old. I think it’s okay once the child has a more understanding of what’s going on. My baby has been crying A LOT at night. Won’t sleep in his bassinet. Will hardly sleep with us, it takes awhile to get him to sleep. I make sure he’s fed, diaper is changed and everything and yet it seems to not be enough. He just wants to cry. I’m a first time mom and letting him try the cry it out method is killing me. I don’t know what to do to get him to stop crying though. It’s just been recently too. I don’t know if it’s a faze or what... it’s making me feel so useless and down. ☹️😞
