Testing 9 DPO

Do you count the last day of your ovulation or your most fertile day when you say how many ever DPO? I’ve been counting my most fertile day and if that’s right I am 9 DPO. Anyone have any luck getting a positive 9 DPO? I took a test 3 days ago because I was so nauseous all day and it was a BFN.
