My best friend is pregnant and we (her bff from college and I) are in the midst of planning her baby shower. The girl text me tonight to let me know what she is doing for our friend: having all the women closest in her life write her / baby letters and including pictures of her growing up. The girl went as far as reaching out to her family in Japan. It’s a really sweet gift, however it was exactly what I, the friend that has known her and her family, from the states and Japan for over 20 years, was planning on doing, just hadn’t pulled the trigger on starting yet. Especially since our mutual friend who we’re hosting the shower for, just did the EXACT same thing for my wedding a month ago.

So, my question is this: what is/has been something super special/sentimental that you have received as a gift?
