Is implantation bleeding necessary?

Does implantation bleeding always happen? I think I'm probably pregnant, but I haven't seen any blood... I feel super extra emotional and I have crazy acne. I also have to pee all the freaking time. And my boobs hurt bad. I can test on the 23, but I don't want to get my hopes up.
