Bruised gums??

Question

Is anyone else experiencing oral health issues this late in the game??
All the sudden I noticed yesterday a portion of my gums are swollen, red, and irritated and they almost feel bruised. It’s really bizarre as I didn’t eat anything abrasive. 
Anyone else having teeth issues this late??

Yeah apparently gum tissue can get really irritated and even overgrow a bit and bleed during pregnancy my dentist said. He said it’s related to softening of some tissues and swelling and more blood/fluid🤷🏼‍♀️Totally normal just annoying and scary when there’s a lot of blood while brushing. Dentist said to keep on brushing/flossing as normal regardless of bleeding.

I’m a dental hygienist and even I have a little more bleeding than usually due to pregnancy gingivitis. Just brush all the way down to the gums and flossing truly does help. It just takes about 10 days of flossing daily to see and feel a difference.

I got pregnancy induced gingivitis and my gums bleed so bad now. Had my dentist appointment last month and she said it was totally normal. Things should go back to normal and the bleeding should stop after pregnancy. She suggested using a softer toothbrush and try changing toothpaste to alleviate some of the pain but there wasn't much I could do other then have the baby haha
