I need advice!

so I'm separated from my husband and have been since march. we found out in February that I was pregnant with our second son. I left because he is an alcoholic and things were getting bad. anyways he has been saying things to try to get me to feel bad and go back to him.. He lied to me and said his mom had cancer so I would talk to him and her.. he told me he has had someone breaking into his house but he never calls the cops.. He lies about everything and always has.. more lies come out all the time.. so his brothers wife called me today and said he called them and he has a cancerous brain tumor and if he can't get insurance they won't operate on it.. idk if I should believe them... I havnt talked to him or his mom in months.. should I message one of them to find out what's going on... idk what to do.. I don't want back with him.. but I dont want that for amyone..
