What do I do?

My SO wants me to go to his friends house with him for the holidays, but honestly I don't fuck with them. None of the people care yo get to know me or anything, I just don't have any special bond with them (ps-i wasn't going anywhere else, I don't have family etc..) But my question is, I just got my #2 paycheck from my new job and  their is more things I need to do, like open a bank account, save money etc.. and I only have 90$ left, if I use that I'll have to use it all to buy the outfit, but if I use it to open an account I'll go a longer way.. and I have nothing I can wear here, I lost a lot of weight and nothing guys correctly..

Why do you need to buy an outfit? And if I only had $90 I would jump at the chance for a free dinner whether I like the people or not.

You don’t have to buy an outfit.. just wear what you have.. open an account.. and try to get to know these people once again. At least try.. you never know.. you all might bond over turkey. At least you don’t have drama with them and there arent those types of problems.

It's important to at least try to get along with his friends. He may be hurt if you don't go and you said you weren't doing anything else. Also, it really isn't anyone's place to comment about your financial situation. Some of these females on here have nothing better to do than run their mouths.

you need to sit down with your s/o and discuss this. while we can try to give you advice were not him we canr help your relationship unless theres communication. just have an adult conversation and explain how you feel then tell him your plans for the money. maybe you guys could have them over instead of going to their place or you guys go to his friends for a bit then go to one of your friends. maybe even spend time with his family?

The problem with women is that a lot of us think that a man always has to make US feel good no matter if they're comfortable or not.. but no where is it written that we don't have to get out of OUR comfort zone for them. He asked you there because he wants you there.

Open your bank account then go with him to his friends in something you have in your closet. I don't think he would have asked you if it wasn't something that was important to him. I think you should go and at the very least enjoy the free food.

As much as I dislike my inlaws, I do it for my husband and son. Thank God we aren't going after all 🙌 lol
But I think you should go. Plus banks ain't even open lol I'm sure you could've got all that done any other day, you're just using it as an excuse.

i feel like you need to compromise with your so... its selfish to flat out not go and that will make them think you dont like them or them not like you. just make an appearance wear some sweats and a hoodie and be polite if you feel uncomfortable tell your so youre leaving. relationships are a 2 way street you gotta give and take equally

I never go with my man to any of his friend invitations. Simply because I have 3 children and they all don't involve their children when it comes to their celebrations. My man and I are the only Hispanic friends amongst his friends. His friends are all white when it comes to holidays or celebration they all seem to send off their kids to a babysitter. I usually am the type to bring my kiddos along. So I tell him if we can't do this as a family I'm not attending. We once brought my kids to one of their events and they threw a fit about it. I gladly left with my kids and haven't bothered to show up to their shit since. Nothing wrong with saying no. Plus, you need to keep in mind that your future is much more important than a celebration. I'd get the important things out of the way before I can enjoy myself. But that's just me. No everyone has their priorities in order.
