Natural miscarriage

Long story short, I have essentially been bleeding for 4 weeks. I found out last week that this is a miscarriage. I was never told how far along I was, but by my calculations, I was 7 weeks. I was given the option to have the miscarriage naturally and risk it taking at least another 2 weeks or I could take Misoprotosol to force the abortion (it opens my cervix to force everything out). I took that last Tuesday evening. I bled heavily that day and the following two-three days. I am STILL bleeding. At this point I don’t know if this is my cycle or if it’s still the miscarriage happening. I thought the meds were supposed to speed up the process. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? I don’t go back to the doctor until Monday to check and make sure all is out. Thanks for the help!
