Leaving a 1 month old at dads for a week??

So I️ really don’t think my ex understands how babies work. We’re not together but he wants to see the baby obviously. So I’ve said once he’s born I’ll come over you can see him but I️ don’t feel comfortable leaving him over night FOR A WEEK until he’s able to sleep trough the night and is a little older like 4 months.
My ex is like no, I’ll have him for a week. That’s why you have formula and pump breast milk. 
I’m sorry but does anyone else find anything wrong with this? Am I️ being crazy? I️ just don’t feel comfortable with that at such a young age, that’s way too long to be a part from my baby.

Have y'all gone to court to set up a visitation schedule? Until then, he can't demand shit. That is way too young to be sending away for a whole week. He can come visit at your place with you there!

If you're breastfeeding I think you should have the baby and your ex can come visit there. I agree it's too young.

Way too young - this made me angry. If you are breastfeeding this can drastically decrease your milk supply, even if pumping. If he doesn’t care about that, he doesn’t care about his child.

Newborns really need their mothers. Yes, dads are important.  But the 4th trimester  (or quadmester 😉) is real. A lot of courts won't order overnights until 1 year if a baby is nursing.

Absolutely no fucking way. Baby is way too little to be away from you that long. A lot of damage can be done to a 1 month old in a week if baby isn't fed properly etc. I'd flat out refuse. Let him take me to court. No judge is going to agree to the length of time at that young of an age.

Breastfeeding moms can’t be separated from infants for a week.  That’s crazy.  Your boobs will freak out.

Hell No. I live with my babys father, we are together & of course I will let him help but our baby will be cared for by me & only me. Even when he helps my nosey self will be right there watching. I have a protective instinct over my babies.
