Have any of you dated a man with one or more kids from a previous relationship? How do you cope with the baby mamas? I'm thinking if I were to ever TTC with this man, how do i learn to be okay with the fact that this is only new and special for me? and that hes experienced it all twice before? He is an amazing man and id hate for his kids to be a dealbreaker or barrier.

I have a child from a previous relationship, I met my now husband a month after he was born and he stepped up and he is the best day in the world to our son. If he would have used my "baggage" against me and chose not to talk to me bc of my baby I wouldn't be the happiest girl on the planet. Our son is now 5 and it was my ex who couldn't cope with me finding another man, so bad he also walked out of his sons life and my husband adopted him last December ❤️

I'm dating a guy with two children from his ex wife. I already knew his daughters well because I was their nanny, but when we told them we were dating they were a bit weary of us being together, his 7 year old would get jealous of us cuddling and what not. His ex wife got extremely jealous and was hard work for a few months but we seem to be past that now and have been quite civil lately. This relationship is worth the drama, he's a great man and I'm really in love with him. At the end of the day it comes down to your personal relationship with your partner and whether there's enough love between you to go through the trials of life xx

I mean I don't know, I feel that's a selfish way of looking at it? I had a child prior to my husband (thank god he didn't think like this), I also had his first. On a woman's perspective, I was obviously in a better place with my second, and I did all that I did with my first, plus more. It's special every time because every baby is new and different from any previous. We plan on having one more, and the third wouldn't be any more special than my other two. I guess that's why I feel this thought is one sided, and more about how you feel than how any baby would feel.

My man has two other kids and they took to me really well. My man and I both don’t like his other baby mama, so she’s irrelevant because she doesn’t have the other kids anyway. So she had no say so. We do our part for the kids and dismiss her totally.

Then don’t date him. If you aren’t up for his two kids then it’s simple don’t date him. My husband is currently taken care of my two kids that aren’t his and I’m pregnant with his baby and it doesn’t change a damn thing. It’ll be special for him like it is for you🙄 and just FYI kids aren’t “baggage”.

First off, I personally think it's a childish mentality to call it baggage. I have 3 children and none of the are my partners. He has stepped in and has been the best father figure to my children. And he doesn't call us baggage. He says we have been the best package Blessing God has gave him. Said he's been with women whom have no kids, nothing going for them and they are shitty women. He said he personally believes women with kids have their mind set more mature since they have to be more mature for their children. (PLZ NOTE: NOT ALL MOTHERS ARE MATURE!) He has kids with two other women and I have never had an issue with that. These women don't allow him to see his kids and one of them got their son taken away for using meth. We have attempted to gain custody of his son. I don't find this as "baggage" that's so immature and disrespectful. Because children are not baggage, they are BLESSINGS! And I have had problems with his "Dead Beat Momma's" who are so mad at the fact that were TTC and even try to ruin our relationship by even sending nudes to him. We simply resolved the problem by blocking them. Neither bothered to let him see his kids, and one recently got his son taken away. No biggie, I got one heck of a Deal when I got with my man! Maybe even a discount hahaha #Shame on the baggage part. Personally, some of y'all need some growing up to do.

My husband has a child from a previous relationship. She is not a nice person but he seems to disagree and always is defensive for her. Anything I say about her he has her back. She has talked crap about my kids and I do not like her she does not like me. Now I am “not allowed to go to achievements or games” because she’s there and I make her “uncomfortable”
